OUR CONCERN FOR A NATION CALLED : NIGERIA
Nigeria is one of the world’s richly blessed and endowed Nation with abundant agricultural land, a vast array of oil and mineral deposits, and an entrepreneurial, energetic and enterprising population. It has a vibrant and youthful population with a growing body of capable civil society organisations.
However, millions of Nigerians live under $1.25 daily, according to the United Nations. They lack access to basic health and other amenities, hence HAPF will wholeheartedly support visionary leaders and civil society organizations who are promoting this change initiative.
HAPF has been working assiduously with government and critical stakeholders to change social structures, legislations, policies and practices in favour of women and youths.
We set out to attend to the root causes and manifestations of poverty such as economic backwardness, poor health, discrimination, ignorance, poor nutrition, social exclusion and gender inequity.
We also assist in the development of micro and small businesses through training and organisation of small business management clinics including training on simple book keeping for small businesses.
Furthermore, we build strength for the women and youths to jettison the low self-esteem syndrome and creates enabling environment for women and youths to achieve their potentials and build their capacity to resist and dismantle structures that makes them irrelevant in the informal sector of the economy and in the larger society. We organize forums where stakeholders, opinion leaders and members of the civil society meet regularly to dissect and address burning social issues.
Over the years, we have empowered more than five hundred thousand individuals in target communities with our services and we hope to do more in years to come.
